We want you to be clear on this before you pay, not after. Knowledge Gaps does not offer refunds. What we do offer is a month-to-month subscription with no contract, no minimum term, and no cancellation fee — so you are never locked into paying for a month you haven’t started.
The short version: all payments are final. You can cancel any time, which stops all future charges. You keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for. We don’t refund partial months, unused time, or subscriptions you forgot to cancel.
1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to all subscriptions to the Knowledge Gaps service operated by ScreamX Inc., a Delaware corporation. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions, and capitalised terms have the meaning given there.
2. No refunds
All payments made to Knowledge Gaps are final and non-refundable. Once a subscription payment is processed, it is not refundable in whole or in part.
Specifically, we do not issue refunds or account credits for:
- Partial billing periods, or time remaining after you cancel.
- Unused capacity, gaps you didn’t review, or articles you didn’t publish.
- Periods during which you chose not to use the Service, or forgot you were subscribed.
- Renewals that charged because you cancelled after your renewal date.
- Accounts suspended or terminated for breach of our acceptable use terms.
- Dissatisfaction with AI-generated drafts, or with the number or nature of gaps detected in your tickets.
- Loss of access caused by a third-party tool you connected changing, deprecating, or revoking its API access.
Because the Service begins delivering value immediately — it reads your tickets and produces gaps and drafts within minutes of connection — each billing period is treated as fully performed once it begins.
3. How to cancel
Cancelling is the way to stop paying. You can do it at any time, and it takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- Cancel from the billing settings in your Knowledge Gaps account, or
- Email pooja@knowledgegaps.co from the email address on the account.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. Requests that reach us after a renewal has already been charged apply to the following period, and the charge already made is not refundable. We will confirm every cancellation by email — if you don’t get a confirmation, assume it didn’t go through and write to us.
4. What happens after you cancel
- You keep full access until the end of the billing period you already paid for. Nothing is cut off early.
- No further charges are made to your payment method.
- Articles already published to your help center stay there. They are yours — they live in your help center, not ours.
- You may request an export of your data before your access ends.
- After termination we delete or de-identify your Customer Data within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You can resubscribe later at the then-current list price. See section 7 on the founding price.
5. Billing errors
There is exactly one situation where money goes back to you: we charged you something we shouldn’t have.
If our billing system charges you twice for the same period, or charges an amount other than your agreed subscription price, that is our mistake. We will correct it and return the difference. Tell us within 60 days of the charge and we will sort it out.
This is a correction, not a refund — we are returning money that was never owed. It does not extend to any of the situations listed in section 2.
Where a correction is due, we process it to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Your bank may take longer to show it.
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction that cannot be waived by agreement.
6. Failed and disputed payments
If a payment fails, we may retry it and will email you. If the balance stays unpaid, we may suspend the Service after reasonable notice, and terminate the account if it remains unpaid.
If you believe a charge is wrong, please email us before opening a chargeback. We can almost always resolve a billing question faster than a bank can, and a chargeback filed without contacting us first may result in immediate suspension of the account and a permanent bar on resubscribing.
7. Founding price
The founding price of $199/month is locked for the life of a continuous, active subscription. If you cancel, that lock is forfeited — resubscribing later will be at the then-current list price, and we cannot restore the founding rate. Please factor that in before cancelling.
8. Try before you buy
Because we don’t give refunds, we’d rather you were sure first. If you want to see what Knowledge Gaps finds in your tickets before committing to a payment, email pooja@knowledgegaps.co and we’ll walk you through it. Ask us anything — how it handles your helpdesk, what the drafts actually look like, how the approval step works. That conversation costs nothing.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version in effect at the time of your payment governs that payment. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email or in-product before they take effect.
10. Contact us
Cancellations, billing questions, duplicate charges, or anything that looks wrong on an invoice. Write to us before your bank — we answer fast, and a person reads every email.
